Something of a renaissance man, poet, lyricist and artist Steev Burgess enjoys doing his bit to keep ancient rhyme schemes such as the Rondeau and the Pantoum alive. Founder member of two poetry clubs, Suns of Dada and Y Tuesday, Steev writes often about his city and the seasons with one foot in the present, one in the past and his head in the clouds. He has of late, also teamed up with Libertine John Hassall, co-writing songs for The April Rainers.

Michelle Madsen is a poet and journalist. She founded the London branch of Hammer and Tongue, the UK’s largest slam poetry network and has featured on stages in four continents. She has appeared on BBC 1, BBC Radio 4 and at venues including the Bowery Poetry Cafe in NYC, the Roundhouse and the Royal Albert Hall and at festivals including Latitude, Hay-on-Wye, Bestival and Glastonbury. In 2013 she took her show I’m Sorry I Haven’t Haiku, the world’s first and possibly last ever poetry panel game, to the Edinburgh Festival. She has performed with Kate Tempest, Hollie McNish, Buddy Wakefield, Tim Key and Simon Munnery and also writes for the Independent and Private Eye. Michelle’s debut collection of poetry, Alternative Beach Sports, was published by Burning Eye Books in 2014 and she is developing her first full solo theatrical work 'What Goes Up', a show about about what happens if you fly too high, with support from the Battersea Arts Centre and the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton.

Fran Isherwood will take you on a wry, awry, word-playful gallop through the vagaries of life encountering a motley cast of mail stealing snails, 70s comedy legends, explosive bakers and baritones- turned -butchers en route. She is a regular on the London Spoken Word circuit who hosts a monthly event in East London but also has previous form as a singer, comic and actor. Fran's first collection Swimming With Endorphins was published by South London Books in July 2015 and she has had poems published in several anthologies and a few periodicals.
